ABOUT

Poppie Sköld is a filmmaker that specialises in video portraits and observational documentary.

By combining her fine art and storytelling training, Poppie endeavors to create work that is visually striking and emotionally compelling.

Using her own equipment to film, edit and deliver high and low-fi quality content, Poppie creates autobiographical art-work pieces, as well as promotional videos for clients.

Poppie is from London and has worked professionally with the moving image for the last five years.


BIOGRAPHY

2012: 'New York' and 'SXSW' videos screened at the London Short Film Festival. Completed first narrative short film. Working on third collection of video portraits.

2011: Started working as a freelance filmmaker and editor. Directed first narrative short film.

2010: Filmed and produced several music related videos, including first music promo and mini tour documentary. Launched website.

2009: Started working independently and created second collection of short films. Received first commission. Began working as a professional editor.

2008: Created first collection of short films and was nominated for the 4 Talent Short Documentary Award. Started working in a documentary production company.

2007: Started training in Final Cut Pro and developed editing equipment.

2006: Graduated from Bristol University with a degree in Drama.
